Introduction

Hard to eat just one! Hard to eat just one!
Number of Servings: 40

Ingredients

    1 cup Butter, unsalted, softened
1 cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
    1/2 cup white Sugar
    2 Large Eggs
    2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup Flour - all purpose
3/4 cup White Whole Wheat Flour
    1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Morton Iodized Sea Salt
    3 cups instant oats
    1 cup milk chocolate chips

Tips

Using semi-sweet chocolate and adding pecans makes a better tasting cookie, but will change the nutritional facts.

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Cream butter and sugars on medium speed until smooth, about 3 minutes. Beat in eggs separately, then add vanilla and mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk flours, baking soda, and salt. Add to butter mixture until combined. Fold in oats and chocolate chips with a wooden spoon until combined.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or onto a baking stone (without parchment), 2 inches apart. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt onto the top of each cookie. (Not included in nutritional info) Bake for 12-15 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before removing cookies to a cooling rack.
