Ingredients

    5 cup Allen's Italian Seasoned Green Beans
    3 cup sam"s choice organic beef bone broth
    .75 cup RO TEL No Salt Added Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies
    4 serving Green Onion (fresh-1 stalk)
    1.5 tsp Oregano, ground
    1 tsp Garlic powder
    1 tsp Onion powder
    1 serving salt & pepper to taste (by ANEWAY)
    5 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high) Butter, salted
    4 medium slices, cooked (raw pro Bacon, pork, microwaved

Tips

Make sure there is not too much or too little broth if more or less beans are used. Taste test for salt needed and adjust to taste mid-way through the one hour of simmer. We used about half the can of the institutional size of Allen's Beans purchased from Sam's. Enjoy.


Directions

First chop the uncooked bacon in .75 inch lengths and cook till done in the pan for the beans. Add the 3 cups of beef broth along with the chopped green onions. Cook all for about 5 minutes and then add the 5 cups of Italian Beans along with all other ingredients. Bring to a boil and cook slowly for 1 hour simmer. Stir occassionally. Near the end of the hour add the 5 pats of butter. Stir to blend in the butter. Keep warm until ready to serve.
