Ingredients
-
2-1/2 Lb Hormel Original Pork Tenderloin (Fat Trimmed)
Sauce:
1/4 Cup Heinz Ketchup
1/2 Cup Diet Dr Pepper
1 Tsp Colgin Natural Hickory Liquid Smoke
1 Medium Onions, chopped
Dry Rub:
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Paprika
1 Tsp Garlic powder
1 Tsp Chili powder
Directions
1) Trim all visible fat from Pork Tenderloin
2) Chop Onion and Place on Bottom of Slow Cooker.
3) Mix Sauce and Pour Over Onion in Slow Cooker.
4) Prepare Dry Rub by blending all dry ingredients, scatter on plate and roll pork tenderloin in rub mixture until all sides are coated and all of dry rub is removed from plate.
5) Place seasoned pork tenderloin carefully into crock pot, on top of onions, being careful not to rinse off dry rub by splashing sauce.
6) Set crock pot to high for an hour and then reduce temperature to low for approximately 5 hours.
7) Remove tenderloin and shred using two forks, mix meat back into sauce and stir or serve "dry" and simply apply barbecue sauce to taste.
Pulled pork may be served on a bun, topped with sliced pickles or Cole Slaw, and also works well served on top of a baked potato depending on your preference.
