Introduction

This recipe is dairy free and very low sodium. With only 4 ingredients it's also quick and easy. It was developed specifically for a patient with declining kidney function. Ingredients

    2.0 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
    3.0 tsp Leavening agents, baking powder, low-sodium
    1.0 cup Aldi's Friendly Farms Almond Milk (Unsweetened) - Original
    1.0 tsp Mrs. Dash (R) Original Blend

Directions

Pre heat oven to 425. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add almond milk and stir to combine. Put dough on a lightly floured surface and knead 8-10 times. Pat into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick and cut into 8 squares or use a 2" round cookie cutter. Put biscuits on prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. They will not get very brown but will sound hollow if tapped on top.

    I need Gluten free so would need to work with another flour. It's all trial and error with that change. - 9/28/20
