Introduction

This is a desi dish usually made in the sub-continent. I have learnt this from my maternal grandmother. She used to make exceptional Saag Daal. This is a very common dish in our household.
It is a complete meal. It tastes delicious when spinach and lentils are boiled together, you can eat with spoon like soup or even with whole wheat bread or roti as we call it in sub-continent.

Ingredients

    3 cup Spinach, fresh
    2 cup Yellow Lentils (Moong Dal)
    7 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    1 tsp Salt
    20 gram(s) Red chilli (by OLLYBEE_FINKEL)
    3 tbsp Canola Oil
    2 cloves Garlic
    2Whole Dry Red Chillies

Directions

Wash the spinach and cut it.
Take a pot put spinach and yellow lentils in it add water and salt (please keep in mind spinach is already high in salt so please add accordingly). Let it boil for 1 hours. If required, you may add more water. Make sure the lentils and spinach are mixed properly while boiling.
Take oil in another pan, heat it. Put red chillies and chopped garlic cloves in it. Let it fry a bit. Add the mixture to spinach and lentil. There you go. Its ready to serve.
