Ingredients

    1 3/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
    1/2 cup Oatmeal
    1 tsp Baking Soda
    1/4 tsp Salt
    3/4 cup Turbinado
    2 T Mott's All Natural Applesauce, unswtnd
    1 cup Heidi's Real Egg
    2 T Turbinado
    4 T Hershey's All Natural Cocoa Powder, unswtnd
    1 T Mott's All Natural Applesauce, unswtnd
    2 tsp Adam's Best Pure Vanilla Extract
    1 tsp Adam's Best Pure Almond Extract
    4 pieces Dove Rich Dark Chocolate, chopped

Directions

Oven to 375' for 13 minutes.

1) Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Beat turbinado, applesauce, and extracts at medium speed of a mixer until well blended (about 5 minutes).

2) Beat egg whites until foamy using clean, dry beaters. Gradually add remaining turbinado, 1 tablespoon at a time; beat until soft peaks form.

3)Add remaining applesauce; beat until stiff peaks form. Fold flour mixture into egg white mixture. Add cocoa powder.

4) Drop by level tablespoons 1 inch apart onto baking sheets.

5) Remove from oven, and let stand 5 minutes. Remove cookies from pans, and cool on wire racks. Store loosely covered
