Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup dry Split Peas
    3+ cups water
    1 cup sliced baby bella mushrooms
    1/2 cup diced onion
    2 tsp Pepper*
    2 tsp Garlic Powder*
    1 tsp Onion Salt*
    1 tsp Cumin*
    1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper*
    3 tsp Veg Broth powder* [or substitute 1 cup water w/1 cup broth]
    *Not included in Nutrtional Values

Directions

Boil/simmer peas & onion in 3 cups water for 1hr.
Add spices & mushrooms and boil/simmer for up to 1hr, or until peas are soft.
Puree 1/2 the soup in blender/magic bullet if desired.

Makes 4 (3/4 cup) servings.

    Um. This was disgusting. I don't know how you were able to eat it. I followed all the directions on the spicing and it was INEDIBLE. Wayyyy too spicy, we had to throw it all out. - 2/3/12
