Ingredients
-
Ingredients:
Mixed Vegetables, frozen, 1 package (10 oz) (remove)
*Beans, Bush's Baked Beans, 2 cup (remove)
Thyme, ground, 1 tbsp (remove)
Oregano, ground, 1 tbsp (remove)
*Onion powder, 1 tsp (remove)
Garlic powder, 1 tsp (remove)
Salt, .5 tsp (remove)
Pepper, black, .5 tsp (remove)
Honey, 1 tbsp (remove)
*Barbecue Sauce, .5 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
*Dole Mandarin Oranges, 0.5 cup (remove)
Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
White Rice, long grain, 2 cup (remove)
Directions
Put into crock pot the following:
2 cans baked beans, 1 large pack of frozen mixed vegetables, 1 small can of mandarin oranges drained and rinsed well (my preference, leave juice if you prefer a more orangy taste) Add honey, barbeque sauce and all spices. Mix thoroughly. Pour water over top to bring level to about 1/8 inch from top of crock pot. Mix thoroughly one more time. Put cover on and turn crock pot on low setting. Cook for approximately 6-8 hours depending on your particular taste. I love all flavors to be well blended so I do it for 8 hours.
About 30 minutes before it is done start making your rice per instructions on package. You can either put spoonful of rice on a plate and a spoonful of goulash over it, or get a large bowl and mix it all together and serve that way. Feeds 8 comfortably with rice mixed in.
If you prefer you can use any kind of noodle with this. Egg noodles are especially nice.
