Ingredients
-
Marinaded Tofu Steaks
1 block extra firm tofu
2 tsp. ground coriander
4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 cup tamari
2 cups filtered water
1. Cut the block of tofu in 1/4 -inch-thick slices; then cut the slices diagonally into triangles.
2. Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over the tofu triangles. Marinate for 1 hour. Store in a sealed container in the fridge. Keeps up to 5 days.
*you can find tamari where you would find soy sauce.
*the tofu's really great in a wrap or on a sandwich with grated carrot cucumber, alfalfa sprouts, pesto sauce, mayo and really anything you can find. I really love putting grated carrots on my sandwiches though. You could even cut up the steaks and put them in a salad.

3. Fry marinated steaks in a non stick pan over medium heat until golden on both sides.
Store in a sealed container in the fridge. Keeps up to 5 days
Since very little of the marinade is actually eaten the calorie count and nutritional info (particularly the sodium) is off slightly.
