My Grandmother's Home made Spagetti sauce My Grandmother's Home made Spagetti sauceNumber of Servings: 6
Ingredients

2 tbsp minced garlic
1 lb lean hamburger
1/2 lg. onion minced
lg green pepper chopped
1 tbs of basil - if fresh use chopped 1/4 cup
1/2 tsp oregano - if fresh use chopped 1/8 cup
1 tsp thyme - if fresh use lightly
1 lg can crushed tomatoes
(you can use a tbsp of Italian seasoning if you want)
1 lg can tomatoe paste
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 lb of spagetti of your choice
1 1/2 can size of water (crushed tomatoes)
Will seem thin but thickens as cooks from the paste
Directions
Brown hamburger in skillet. Meanwhile in dutch oven slightly carmelize onion & garlic in the olive oil.
Add tomatoe paste and crushed tomatoes to onion & garlic mixture.
Add green pepper to mixture
Drain hamburger and add to mixture
Add water to mixture
Stir until well mixed then let boil for just a couple of minutes then simmer on low burner for two hours or more for richer flavor.
When sauce is ready boil spagetti till aldante ( slightly firm) Nothing worse than starchy noodles.
Drain water and sertve with sauce. Enjoy
