Ingredients

1/2 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
4 squares melted chocolate or 12 Tbsp cocoa powder
2 eggs
2 cups cake flour (3 Tbsp less if all-purpose)
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup pecans chopped
Frosting:
1 cube margarine
4 cups powdered sugar
dash salt
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup strong coffee
Directions
Cake:
Cream margarine and sugar together.
Add chocolate (or cocoa) and eggs. Blend well.
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
Add alternately with milk. Beat well.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Bake in greased and floured 9X13 pan about 40 minutes at 375 Degrees F.
For frosting:
Cream margarine and 2 cups powdered sugar and salt.
Blend in cocoa and coffee.
Mix and beat well.
Add rest of powdered sugar and beat until fluffy.
Makes 16 2"x2" pieces.
This is for high altitude. At sea level use 4 tsp of baking powder, 1 2/3 cup flour and bake at 350 degrees.
