Ingredients
-
lean ground beef, or turkey*
croutons, i prefer the garlic flavored
garlic powder TT
enough milk to soften the croutons
Parm TT- it goes in the meat mixture and the sauce.
Spag. Sauce- I usually use Prego mushroom, but w/e you like
a little oil to brown them in the pan
I normally eat this as a meatball sandwhich, with sauteed onions, peppers, and melty mozz. It's a meal in itself, u could always have a salad w/ it, or a little pasta!
Directions
makes 4 full sandwhiches.
put croutons in a bowl with the milk and a T of the spag sauce. once croutons are soft mix in the meat, the garlic powder, and the parm.
heat oil over med-hi in an oven safe skillet, make 1- 1.5 oz balls of meat, lay them gently in the pan. if you roughly handle them they'll fall apart! roll gently in the pan until they're all completely browned.
heat oven to 350*
add remaining sauce. (depending on what your using them for, you can add less or more). heat for atleast 30 min. covered. if you need more time, take them out after the 30 min, and put them on the stovetop on low, keep them covered though!
