Introduction

This is so simple & so good ... I usually use stew beef instead of chuck roast. This is so simple & so good ... I usually use stew beef instead of chuck roast.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 lbs chuck roast or beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch pieces
    1 envelope onion soup mix (or onion-mushroom soup)
    1, 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
    1, 4 oz can whole mushrooms, drained
    0.5 cup red wine

Directions

Combine all engredients in crockpot & stir well. Cover and cook on Low for 8-12 hours -- don't peek! May cook on High for 5-6 hours. Serve over rice or noodles, if desired (not included in nutritional calculations). Serves 6-8

    This was so good i could not stop...I did add a tbls of sour cream and we did eat it over egg noodles...so good will be making this over and over again...the whole family love it. - 1/11/09
