Introduction

Dinner, Snack or Appetizer Dinner, Snack or Appetizer
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 package refrigerated pie crust
1 cup (4oz) mozzarella cheese(I use reduced fat cheese)
3/4 cup sliced pepperoni, chopped(I use Turkey pepperoni)
    3/4 cup pizza sauce
    1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
    ------------------------------------------------
Serve with a salad for a quick meal.

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450F. Place pie crusts on cutting board; remove plastic sheets. Cut each crust into quarters, making 8 wedges.

2. In medium bowl, combine all filling ingredients; mix well. Place 1 heaping tablespoon filling on half of each crust wedge. Fold unfilled sides of wedges over filling. With fork, press edges to seal. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

3. Bake at 450F for 12 to 14 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Makes 8 pizza pockets.

Actual calories is 167 per serving for 8 -- figuring it with turkey pepperoni and low fat cheese.

How did you calculate it so low cal? I wanted to make this, but when I looked at pie crust, it was 160 cal. per 1/8 of the crust! That does not make 36 cal. a pocket! - 11/9/07
