Ingredients

2 pounds of Lean Ground Beef
16 slices of bacon
2 - 8 oz. can mushrooms
1 small onion
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp. salt (or more to taste)
1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions
serves 8
Mix together meat, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. for 8 nice thick patties with meat. With palms of hand make nice high flat side on patties. Take two pieces of bacon, wrap on slice around meat on one side and the same with the second piece of bacon on the other side. Where they come together on both sides, loop the back ends around each other a couple of times to hold it in place. Heat your skillet on medium-high heat.
Place patties in skillet not touching. Cover and cook 8 minutes, uncover and gently turn patties over. Cover and cook 8 more minutes.
Uncover, with fork press down on center of patties. If juice runs clear, patties are done, if juices are not clear continue cooking and checking often so you do not dry out the meat.
While meat is cooking, prepare vegetables. Saute' mushrooms and onions in 1 tblespoon butter until onion is soft. Keep hot until meat is done.
To plate, place one pattie on dinner plate and top with vegetation mix.
