Introduction
I make this from time to time. Love the light flavors of golden raisins and the hint of sweetness from the Craisins. I make the heart healthy serving size. You can make less if you wish. Ingredients
-
3/4 c Quaker Oats Quick 1-Minute
1-1/2 c cream (you can use water if preferred)
dash of salt
1 package of 100 Calorie Pack Craisins
1/4 c golden raisins
1 tsp cinnamon (add more if desired)
1 package Sweet n' Low sweetener (or other desired sweetener)
Directions
Yields--1-1/2 servings
Either prepare ingredients for stove top or microwave. If for microwave here is how I did it...
Large bowl soup bowl/cup, adding the first 7 ingredients. Stir till cinnamon is incorporated. Follow cooking instructions on canister, noting that each microwave is different so adjust cooking time accordingly.
Once oatmeal is cooked through, stir slowly while adding sweetener. Serve hot.
NOTE: This made enough for my son and myself. I put this under the Lactose Free section because my son is Lactose Intolerant and Heavy Whipping Cream has no "ose" in it. Making it safe for him to eat.
