Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

8 slices of Natures Own Honey wheat loaf
    4 large eggs
2tbsp of Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil
    1/4 cup of Milk 2%
    8 ounce fresh strawberries, sliced
1 tsp Splenda Sugar Blend for Baking
    1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

Directions

Cut the tops off the tops of strawberries, thinly slice the strawberries long ways into 3 or 4 slices. Put into a small bowl and sprinkle Splenda over strawberries. Stir to mix up the sugar, take a fork and mash the strawberries slightly. You can add about 3 tbsp of water to make syrup like. Let stand while you cook the toast.

Break eggs into a bowl where you are able to dip the bread into. Whisk eggs together, then whisk in the milk, then stir in black pepper.

Heat oil into a medium non-stick skillet. Heat oil over medium high heat. Once the oil is hot then dip your bread slices into the egg mixture on both sides. Make sure they are coated well. Place bread into the hot oil. Brown on both sides, approximately 3 to 4 minutes per side. Do this with all 8 slices of bread.

Add about 2 to 3 tbsp of strawberries over one slice of toast and serve.
