Ingredients

    2 lbs. of ground turkey
    1 T. olive oil
    1 c. sweet onion, chopped
    1 t. minced garlic
    28 oz can (793 grams) crushed tomatoes- undrained
    16 oz.can (2 c.) red kidney beans
    1 T. chili powder
    1 t. sugar
    2 c. vegetarian vegetable broth
    1/2 T. garlic powder
    1 tsp. Tabasco Sauce
    1 1/2 t. sea salt
    1 T dried basil
    1/2 t. dried oregano
    1/2 c. chopped peppers (any color)

Directions

In a large saucepan, brown turkey until cooked, drain and set turkey aside.

In the same pot, add onions, bell peppers, garlic and olive oil and saute over medium heat until onions are translucent.

Add remaining ingredients and cooked turkey. Stir well to combine. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Makes about 10, 1-cup servings

    It was very good and satisfying. Although more like spaghetti to me. i would add more hot spices, extra tabasco. Alot of ingredients, but still very good - 3/4/09
