Ingredients
-
4 large slices of whole-grain bread (or your favorite bread - the only calories here are the ones in your bread!)
Butter-flavored non-stick cooking spray
1 large clove of garlic
Directions
1. Lightly spray one side of each slice of bread with the cooking spray.
2. Toast until golden brown.
3. While it's toasting, peel the clove of garlic, but leave it whole
4. When the toast is lovely and brown and still hot, lightly rub the garlic onto the toast. Be gentle! Because the garlic is raw, the flavor is STRONG. The harder you rub, the more punch it packs. The garlic should melt and be invisible on the toast, but you'll be able to smell it!
5. (Optional) Sprinkle the bread with chopped parsley, basil, paprika, or crushed red pepper.
~
Great with salad, soup, and pasta, or take two slices and make an awesome grinder sandwich!
