Introduction

A long time family tradition for a large family. A long time family tradition for a large family.
Number of Servings: 48

Ingredients

    3 C Water
    3 C Whole Wheat Flour
    4.5 - 5 C White Flour
    1.5 tsp salt
1 T or less Olive oil
    2 T dry yeast

    2 Cans (6oz) tomato paste
    2 Cans (6oz) Water
    2 tsp Garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder. I use ground minced onion.
    1/2 tsp oregano
    1/2 tsp basil
Seasonings are to taste. These are the the amounts I use

Top pizza with cheese, and your choice of toppings.

Directions

Mix the first 6 ingredients into a bowl and knead til smooth. Divide into three parts and make the sauce while the dough rests.

For the sauce, combine tomato paste, refill the cans with water and add two cans of water to the paste. Add garlic, onion, oregano, and basil (and any thing else you like) and stir them into the paste mixture.

Roll out your dough onto three large lightly greased cookie sheets. Poke holes into the dough with a fork to prevent "bubbling". Spread sauce on each. Top each with a little more than 4 cups of cheese. Add your choice of toppings. This recipe is calculated for pepperoni, canadian bacon, and salami. Bake these for 16 minutes at 450 F. Happy eating!

(a note. this does not feed 48 people. it is calculate to give an estimate of calories per slice if you cut each pizza into 16 square pieces.)
