I don't understand the bad feedback?! I've made this (almost) exact same thing sooo many times and LOVE it!! As far as the sodium goes, well just make substitutions for yourself...or drink lots of water. I don't think it's right to rate it as bad because it has more sodium than you agree with!! - 4/11/09

I loved this recipe! It was fast too which is always great for me. I am with you KevinHolly31 and Shannj77! Meals like this work for me. Plus, it's great to have a variety of modified recipes so you are not eating the same chicken and vegetables all the time. Thanks for sharing. Will keep as a fave! - 2/2/09

I live in a household of extremely picky eaters. I also have very low blood pressure, and the sodium doesn't cause me any trouble on occasion. This is a low calorie, low fat meal that works for me and my family, and you really shouldn't rate something as bad unless you've tasted it.

  • My family LOVES this!! I modified with an all natural ham (no additives) using sea salt in the ham, so MUCH lower in sodium. I also used my store brand "heart healthy" cheddar cheese canned soup, so lower in sodium, as well. I did add about half a soup can of water, so nothing stuck. Yummy!! - 12/16/12

  • Easy and so good! Even my picky kid liked it. I stirred it a couple of times to distribute the moisture evenly but I followed the recipe exactly. Leftovers for lunch today ! Yum! - 6/5/12

  • Had to add milk to keep the cheese from burning on the side of the crock pot. Otherwise, it was a good homey feeling dinner! - 12/6/11

  • My family and I enjoyed this recipe, we thought that it tasted very good, but I have to agree with the above posts that the meal was very mushy, and it is extremely high in sodium (that happens when working with ham). Over all, I believe that I would make this meal again. - 2/8/10

  • I did not enjoy this recipe. It all became very mushy... I think if I ever wanted to make scalloped potatoes, I would remove the ham from this recipe. I would not make this as a meal again though. - 4/9/09
