Introduction

Ingredients

Hot Dog, beef and pork, 4
    Curry powder, 1 tbsp
    Onions, raw, 0.50 cup, chopped
Peppers, sweet, red, raw, sliced, 0.50 cup
    Tomato Paste, 0.50 cup
Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz)
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Pepper, black, .5 tsp

Directions

Cut up your hotdogs into bitesize pieces. Place them on a cookie sheet and bake at 425F until they start to brown. Mix them around and try to brown the other side. Remove and set aside.

Finely chop or puree the onion and pepper.
In a large pot or pan, fry the onion and peppers until soft. In a cup, mix the tomato paste with water and add to the pot. Add spices and hotdogs. Stir. Cover and let the sauce cook down. Check and stir regularly because the sauce will thicken. When it's thick it's ready to eat. Adjust the curry to your taste.

We usually serve this with pita but it's good by itself too. You could use this recipe for chicken breast. Just chop into bite size pieces.

    Very Good
This was an excellent recipe! I adapted it to fit the size of our family and threw in some leftover cooked veggies at the end. It was a great way to use up our leftover hot dogs, also. - 12/18/09
