Ingredients

    2 cups cubed rutabags peeled and cut into1/2 inchcubes2 cups cleaned carrots cleaned and sliced2 medium onions skinned and cleaned3 pounds eye of the round beef with external fat removed and cut into 1 inch cubes4 beef bullion cubes3 quarts of water4 medium white potatos peeled and cubed into 1/2 inch cubes2 cups fresh chopped cabbage chopped into 1 to 2 inch squares
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

prepare rutabagas, carrots, cabbage and potatos and soak in water until meat is cooked.trim and clean 3 pounds of eye of the round beef removing any outside fat.cube beef into 1 inch cubesclean 2 medium onionsIn a 8 or 10 qt soup pot add the water, beef bullion cubes, beef and onions and simmer cook for about 1 and 1/2 hours intil the beef is soft and tenderAdd all the vegetables to the beef except the potatos and cook for 20 minutesadd the potatos and cook the entire soup for anadditional ten minutes until potatos are fork tenderadd salt and pepper to taste
