Introduction

Tender chicken thighs slow cook all day in a savoury lemon garlic broth. Tender chicken thighs slow cook all day in a savoury lemon garlic broth.

Ingredients

    5 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1 tsp oregano
    1 tsp Olive oil
    1.5 cups water
    2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
    2 tsp minced fresh garlic
    3 Tbsp lemon juice

Directions

In a small bowl, combine chicken, salt, pepper and oregano.
Heat oil over medium heat in a skillet, and brown chicken thighs for 3 minutes on each side. Transfer chicken to crockpot.
Combine remaining ingredients in the same skillet, and bring to a boil. Pour liquid over chicken in crockpot.
Cook on low for 5-6 hours. You may need to occasionally turn chicken over.

Serve with rice, pasta or mashed potatoes.

    Easy, tasty recipe using common ingredients. I made with thighs and meat is super tender. Will definitely make again with a reduced-sodium bouillon though. - 11/30/07

    This recipe is excellent. If you use thighs, the meat is so tender it falls apart before it can make it to your mouth! You could probably alter this recipe to make great chicken soup, depending on the size of your crockpot. I am making this for the second time and looking forward to it! - 10/29/07
