Ingredients

1 can black beans, drained, reserve liquid
    1/2 onion, medium, chopped
    3 cloves garlic
2-3 chipotle peppers, with some adobo sauce
    2 tbsp lime juice
3 tbsp tahini (or peanut butter)
1 jalapeno pepper (to taste, seed for less spice)
    2 tsp ground cumin
    Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a food processor, and blend until smooth. Add back some black bean liquid if needed (start small, or it will get runny).

Spread on pita bread or crackers as desired. Estimated 10 servings, approx. 4 tbsp each.
(Caloric value does not include the chipotle peppers because they aren't on the website. Negligible.)

Chipotle peppers can be found canned in the Mexican food aisle of any grocery store.

Try it as a spread on your next veggie burger!
