Introduction

This is very inexpensive to make and also free of preservatives and sugar. I keep a batch made up in my cabinet all the time. This is very inexpensive to make and also free of preservatives and sugar. I keep a batch made up in my cabinet all the time.

Ingredients

    1/4 cup chili powder
    1/4 cup paprika
    3 tablespoons ground cumin
    2 tablespoons onion powder
    2 tablespoons garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon cayenne red pepper

Directions

Mix all ingredients together well. Use a blender if you have to. Store unrefrigerated in an airtight container.

Makes enough for about 7 lbs of meat, using 2-3 (slightly heaping) tablespoons per pound. Salt taco meat to taste.
