Introduction

One of my generic dinners with lots of stuff thrown in. One of my generic dinners with lots of stuff thrown in.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    Tortellini, pasta with cheese filling, 4 cups uncooked
    Spinach, fresh, 6 cups
    Chick Peas (1 can drained)
    Heavy Whipping Cream, 0.25 cup, fluid
    Hunts Tomato Sauce, 1.5 cup
    Garlic, 5 tsp
    Italian Seaonings

Directions

Cook pasta and chickpeas, adding spinach 1/2 way through the cooking process. Drain once pasta is done, but put back into the cooking pot and add remaining ingredients. Stir and put pot on low for about 10 minutes to warm sauce and mix the seasonings.

Makes 5 evenly distributed servings.

    sounds good, but too high in carbohydrates, sodium, cholesterol, etc. I guess that's why it sounds good. - 3/5/09

    You can always sub non-salt added tomato sauce in for regular sauce - no additional salt was used in this recipe. Also, 56mg per serving of cholesterol is not bad compared to consuming whole eggs! Carbs aren't a problem unless you're doing a low-carb diet, which is not good for me personally.
