    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1-1/4 cups brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    3 cups oat bran
    1/4 cup buttermilk
    1 pkg. peanut butter chips


Preheat oven to 375. Cream butter and sugar. On low speed beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Stir in chips. Drop by small cookie scoopfuls (1/8 cup) onto greased cookie sheets. Flatten cookies with wet fingers. Bake for 12 minutes, switching pans top to bottom about halfway through. Remove from pans and cool on counter top. Makes about 45 cookes.
