Ingredients

2 Tbsp Smart Balance
½ cup dark brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbs applesauce (unsweetened)
1/8 tsp table salt
2 large eggs
3 tbs cocoa
¾ cup all-purpose flour
3 tbs flax meal
1 tsp baking soda
4 oz semi-seet chocolate chips (about 1/3 of a 12 oz bag)

Directions
Preheat oven to 375F. In medium bowl, cream butter, oil and brown sugar together. Mix in the rest of the wet ingredients together thoroughly.
Mix in dry ingredients.
Add chocolate chips and stir to distribute evenly.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto non-stick baking sheet. Bake cookies for 4-6 minutes, then cool on a wire rack. Yields 20 cookies 1 per serving
