Introduction

My kids love this smoothie even though it has artificial sweetener in it! My kids love this smoothie even though it has artificial sweetener in it!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 pint strawberries
    2 cups milk (I use 2%)
*artificial sweetener equivelent to 1 C sugar
    2-3 cups ice

Directions

Place cleaned & capped strawberries in blender. Sprinkle artificial sweetener over berries. Add milk & then ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses. Makes about 6- 1 cup servings

*Original recipe calls for 1 C sugar, but by substituting with artificial sweetener, I cut the calories by 130 per serving.

This recipe does not need all that artificial sweetener if you toss in a banana and maybe a handful of blueberries. You could even exchange the 2% milk for vanilla flavored soy milk for some added sugary taste. - 3/14/07
