Ingredients

    1 bag baby carrots (1lb)
    1 bag frozen or fresh sugar peas (1lb)
    1 tbsp butter
    1 garlic clove minced
    1 tbsp fresh ginger minced
    1/3 cup apricot jam
    1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
    1/4 tsp salt
    pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
    green onion curls (optional)

Directions

Place steam basket over 1 inch of water and heat on high to boil. Add carrots and peas to basket. Lower heat to medium and cook 10-12 mins. Drain and rinse under cold water. In a 12 inch skillet melt butter, ginger, garlic, and onions. Stir for 3 mins or until soft. Add jam, vinegar, salt, cayenne pepper and cook 3-4 mins longer. Add carrots and peas to skillet and cook 3-4 mins or until glazed.
