Introduction

This is a great homemade granola. Many like to eat it plain, but our favorite is to mix a half cup of granola with a half cup of lowfat plain vanilla yogurt. This is a great homemade granola. Ingredients

    9 cups oats
    2 cups coconut
    2 cups slivered almonds
    .5 cups wheat germ
    1.25 cups canola oil (can sub olive oil or coconut oil)
    .75 cup honey
    .5 cup dates
    .5 cup raisins
    .5 cup pineapple
    .5 cup cherries
    .5 cup apricots

Directions

Mix oats, coconut, almonds, wheat germ, oil, and honey. Bake at 350 on two cookie sheets stirring every 5 minutes for about 20 minutes (level of crunchiness is personal preference). When cooled, stir in fruit and store. Makes 36, half cup servings.
