Introduction

The husband LOVED this Italian Pizza Wrap Sandwich I made. You need a double contact indoor grill (like a George Foreman style) or a panini grill for this one. SOOOO TASTY! Tastes like a pizza! Ingredients

1 La Tortilla Factory Smart & Delicious Multi Grain Soft Wrap, Tortilla
    .25 cup Pizza Sauce
3 ounces 90% Lean Ground Beef
12 grams or 0.42 oz. Hormel Turkey Pepperoni
20 grams or 0.71 oz. chopped raw Onion
20 grams or 0.71 oz. chopped raw Green Bell Pepper
25 grams or 0.88 oz. fresh Mushrooms
42 grams or 1.48 oz. Kroger Low Moisture Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese Shreds

Directions

Brown your ground beef, crumbled in a pan on the stove. Set aside. Preheat your grill for 5 minutes on medium high/high. Sautee onions, peppers & mushrooms in a pan. If you must use oil, use just a spray of Pam.

Lay your tortilla out & spread pizza sauce on 1/2 of it, leaving 1 1/2 inch of edge without sauce. Next add mozzarella cheese and ground beef. Take kitchen scissors & cut pepperoni pieces in half & add this next. Then put sauteed onion/green pepper/mushroom mix on top of pepperoni. Fold ends (top & bottom) in & start rolling your tortilla up, from the full side toward the side with nothing on it. Make sure you have the ends tucked in well. Lay on grill & close grill. Grill for about 5 minutes or until marks are on it. You may want to flip it over 1/2 way through cooking time. You may have a little seepage of pizza sauce, once it starts cooking, but should not be too much. Serve with a fork because it is a little messy, but oh so good!

    Good
this was not bad, the taste was very good and all but the sauce was dripping out of the wrap making it extremely messy and the wrap soggy. - 4/21/09

Make sure to put the sauce more toward between center & 1/3 of tortilla & roll up tightly, putting flapped end on top of grill. Or you can decrease sauce by a Tbsp. if ya want....I didnt' have that much seepage, but I wrap & don't put sauce too closely to ends..try again & let me know if any better
