Ingredients

    0.25 cup fresh orange juice
    1 tbsp white wine vinegar
    1 shallot, finely chopped
    0.5 tsp kosher salt
    0.25 tsp black pepper
    0.25 cup extra-virgin olive oil
    3 heads Bibb or Boston lettuce, rinsed and torn (or substitute 1 5-oz bags mixed salad greens)
    2 navel oranges, peeled and sliced into thin circles
    0.75 cup (about 3 oz) pecans, toasted and roughly chopped

Directions

In a large bowl, whisk together the orange juice, vinegar, shallot, salt, and pepper. Whisking constantly, slowly add the oil. (You can cover and refrigerate the vinaigrette and salad ingredients separately for several hours. Whisk the vinaigrette to recombine just before using.) Add the lettuce, oranges, pecans to the vinaigrette and toss.
