Introduction

These were a huge hit!! I have been wanting to do Turkey Burger Sliders, for sometime now. I came across some whole wheat dinner rolls that I just knew would be the perfect size to do it! I make a few changes to a favorite Turkey Burger recipe and made it into these yummy sliders!! I even made some "special" mayo. Cayenne mayo and Dilly mayo (canola light mayo, of course) were the perfect touch to these little gems!! These were a huge hit!! I have been wanting to do Turkey Burger Sliders, for sometime now. Ingredients

    16 oz. Ground Turkey, 93/7
    1/2 C. Carrots, shredded
    1/2 C. Bread Crumbs, Plain
    1/4 t. Ground Cumin
    1/8 C. Parsley, dried
    1/8 t. Garlic, minced
    1/4 C. Egg Whites, substitute
1/2 C. Onion, minced, cooked or 1/8 t. Onion Salt

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with non-stick cooking spray.

2. Combine ingredients and mold into patties.

3. I made these into 8 sliders, and baked them for 20 minutes, turning over halfway through. They were pretty dense, and I could have gotten 2 more if I had made them thinner.

4. For larger average size patties, cook for additional 10-15 minutes or until done.

5. I used whole wheat dinner rolls for buns. You can use any type of dinner rolls, so I did not include them in the ingredients list, as they vary so much. So consider your rolls calories etc. when preparing. Serve with fresh tomatoes and lettuce. Perfect for parties too!

Enjoy!!

    Very Good
I cooked them for a tailgate. I omitted the carrots, included some garlic olive oil (about 2 TBLS), pecorino romano cheese (about 1/2 cup) and breadcrumbs (about 1/2 cup) and they were delicious. - 10/7/11

    Incredible!
I like this recipe but I'm not sure if you added the calories for the rolls in this recipe because the rolls would be about 100 calories each. But I'm thinking of cutting circles from whole wheat tortillas or pita bread as buns to simulate rolls lol. - 6/28/10

    Very Good
My family really enjoyed these sliders. For my husband, I mixed a paprika w/ mayo/greek yogurt to spice with limited cals. Added cilantro & basil paste (easier for me to keep on hand/fresh) & fennel seeds. We will try again with different spices - great meat base. - 1/7/10
