Ingredients


    sift together:
    1 1/2 cups of flour
    3/4 cup cocoa
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    1 tsp baking powder
    whisk together:
    2 eggs
    1 cup unsweetened applesauce
    3 tbsp melted butter
    1 tsp vanilla

    stir into dry flour mixture, turn into a greased pan and smooth top. bake in center of oven for 35 to 40 min. cool on a rack before cutting. will keep for two days at room temperature.
