Introduction

Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1 c honey
    2/3 c peanut butter
    2 2/3 c rolled oats
    1 c whole wheat flour
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 c coconut
    1/2 c chocolate chips
    1/2 c dried blueberries
    1/3 c cranberries
    1/8 c chopped walnuts

Directions

Mix the honey and peanut butter, warming the honey if necessary, for easier mixing. Then mix in the add ins. Add a tbsp or so of water if the mixture seems too dry, or an add'l tbsp or so of oats if it seems too sticky. Press into a 9X13 pan and bake for 10 minutes, and remove from oven. Cut into 24 bars right away and let cool. Wrap individually in saran wrap and freeze for a fresh bar everytime. Great for eating on the run.

    Good basic recipe! I adapted it big time using what I had in the cupboard: tahini for part of the peanut butter, currants for the two dried fruits, and sesame seeds for the nuts. The oven temp is missing and I found the baking time a bit too short - try 20 min @ 350. - 3/22/08

    Very Good
    Great versatile recipe! I will use diced prunes instead of dried blueberries, and mini choc. chips too. I have pecan pieces - will use those to replace the walnuts.
    Also, due to food allergies, and to make it gluten free friendly. I will use oat flour to replace the wheat flour.
