Introduction
This soup is a family favorite for years. I would love to reduce calories but it is so good the way it is I would hate to mess with it. 1/8th of the soup is under 300 calories so it would make a good main course with salad or sandwich. Ingredients

Broccoli, 2 bunches chopped into small pieces
Onions, 1 medium chopped.
Garlic, 2 cloves minced or chopped.
Black pepper 1/3 tsp.
Swanson's Chicken Broth 32 oz.
Chicken Breast, skin and boneless, cut into small pieces
Carrot 1 small, grated
Butter, 1 stick
White Flour 1 cup
Milk, 2% 4 cups
Directions
Chop broccoli into small pieces. Mince garlic. Shred carrots. Cut Chicken into small pieces. Put 1st 7 ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling turn down to a simmer.
Make aru. Melt butter in nonstick skillet. Add 1 cup of flour. Blend together. Add 4 cups of milk a little (about 3/4 cup at a time). Blend milk and butter flour mixture well and remove lumps as you go. Once all milk is added allow to thicken stiring constantly until thickened. Slowly add to simmering broth mixture. Allow to cook for another 30 minutes on low to thicken and blend flavors. Serve hot.
