Introduction

I tried these and althoug I am not wild about them and it is a bit too bitter, I still am toying with the recipe!

I did NOT factor in the dehydrator time.

Ingredients

5 C Kale chopped into bite sized pieces
    0.25 C. Honey Mustard
    0.5 C tahini
    0.25 C tamari
    water to thin
    Sea Salt
    juice from 1 lemon
    Sunflower Seeds to taste
    Nutritional Yeast to taste

Directions

Strip & break down kale to bigger than bite size pieces (will shrink when dehydrating)
Blend the rest of the ingredients (except sunflower seeds and salt) until well incorporated.
Massage mix (it should be thick) into kale. VERY IMPORTANT Let the kale wilt down a bit.
Sprinkle sunflower seeds & sea salt on top of kale mix.
Arrange on dehydrator and dehydrate until desired doneness ( I let it dehydrate for 2 days)
I turned the kale mix every 6 hours.
ENJOY

    Very Good
I've just finished a raw food retreat learning how to prepare raw foods - kale chips was one of the recipes, try a dry mustard and the key is the kale - Curry Kale works best and some people use Braggs which is not truly Raw, but has a better taste and gives the Kale more of a crispy taste. - 6/20/10
