Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 garlic cloves, crushed and chopped
    basil leaves, large handful
    5 Tbl. olive oil
    2 lemons, zest and juice
    12 oz dried pasta shapes (Farfalle, fusilli, conchiglie, etc...)
    2/3 Cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
    salt and pepper

Directions

Mix the garlic, basil, olive oil, lemon zest and juice in a food processor until smooth.

Cook the pasta in lightly salted boiling water for 10-12 minutes, or until al dente.

Add the Parmesan to the basil mixture, blend well, and season with salt and pepper.

Drain the pasta. Stir in the pesto, mix well and serve.
