Ingredients

8 oz boneless sirloin pork chops
    24 dumpling skins
    .5 T sesame oil
    0.5 clove garlic
    .75 c cabbage

Directions

Makes 24 dumplings (1 serving = 1 dumpling)

In Cuisinart, chop ginger root and garlic. Add sesame seed oil. Add pork and grind pretty fine. Clean out processor bowl and add cabbage. Chop that fine.

Dump into bowl and mix cabbage into pork mixture.

Shape dumplings around a generous teaspoon of filling.

Place dumplings into lightly oil steamer (that's been preheated) and leave plenty of room between them (they swell while cooking).

Steam for 8 minutes.

Serve with sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and mustard.

We've eaten as many as 12 at a time, but 6 would make a pretty good meal with a solid vegetable.

I make pretty much this exact recipe, but I add fresh ginger and a dash of soy sauce. Just gives it that extra bit of asian flavour, and that is how my old roomate from college made them. She was from Shanghai so I trusted she knew what she was doing. :) I love these. yum yum - 11/9/11
