Introduction
This is a great recipe I modified from a recipe I found at About.com. This is a great recipe I modified from a recipe I found at About.com.Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
1 cup or can of chickpeas, drained
1 small onion, chopped
2 or 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 tbsp of fresh or dried parsley (fresh is much nicer)
2 tbsp of whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp of baking powder
salt & pepper to taste
Directions
You should use non stick aluminum foil for this recipe.
Preheat oven to 350.
Puree chickpes in blender. Add onions and garlic and puree some more. Add rest of the ingredients and blend until well blended to make a thick paste consistency.
Shape into ping pong size balls and place in baking sheet lined with non stick aluminum foil. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, turning them half way through ( with my oven it took about 35 minutes, but all ovens vary).
If you don't mind the added calories, you can skip the foil and drize 2 tbps of olive oil on the baking sheet to add extra flavour and prevent them from sticking.
1 serving = approx 4 balls
Enjoy!
