Ingredients

2 cups ground coffee, coffee-maker grind
    7 cups cold water
    1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Place dry coffee in pitcher, slowly add the water and stir. Set aside on counter 12 hours. I stir mine a few times during the 12 hours. Then strain the coffee through a fine sieve or cheesecloth, and strain it again through a coffee filter or cheesecloth. Add vanilla. Refrigerate in a closed container or bottle. I use a clean quart juice bottle with the original lid. Makes about a quart. To make coffee with the concentrate, use 1/2c concentrate to 1/2c water, add sugar or milk if you want, heat in microwave or pour over ice.

I finally made this! I saved the recipe months ago. I wish I'd made this months ago. I put a whole tablespoon of true vanilla in the mix. I put it right in my soy milk, haven't tried it iced yet. Where are you, MsPudge? Thanks for submitting this! - 1/12/10
