Ingredients

    1/2 cup sugar
    1 cup water
    1 tablespoon minced fresh mint
    1 cup blueberries
    2 cups cantaloupe balls
    fresh mint sprigs

Directions

In a 1-quart saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and minced mint. Simmer 3 minutes. Strain and chill.
Just before serving, combine the syrup, blueberries, and cantaloupe in a bowl. Mix and garnish with mint sprigs.
Syrup can be prepared well ahead. Blueberries can be picked over and washed the night before. The cantaloupe should be cut into melon balls only a few hours before serving.
