Ingredients

    3lbs Hot Italian Sausage
    2 can's Diced Tomato
    2 can''s Tomato Paste
    2 C. Marsala Wine
    4 Green Peppers, sliced
    3 Red Peppers, sliced
    2 Vidalia onions, cut into chucks
    3 tsp dried basil
    black pepper to taste
    1 tbsp dried oregano
    8 cloves of garlic, chopped

Directions

Add enough water to coat the bottom of the pan heat on medium high heat and add the sausage. Brown on all sides. Remove from the pan

Add onions, peppers, and black pepper and cook until golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes. Add basil and oregano and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Add tomato paste and stir. Add tomatoes and stir making sure to scrape the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer.

While it is starting to simmer cut sausage into slices about 1/4 inch thick. Add back into pan and simmer on med low heat for about 40 minutes.

Serve either in a bowl or with rolls. (calorie count doesn't include a roll)

    Great for a party. I used it at my family reunion this past week and it was incrediable. My whole family is over weight and no one realized I had made a lower calorie S & P. Thanks to who ever wrote this recipe. - 8/19/09

    great recipe.I didnt have marsala wine so I substituted red cooking wine instead put it in the crockpot, still amazing taste. - 1/18/11

    Made this for our Superbowl party - excellent! I left out the tomato paste and reduced the marsala simply because I didn't have enough for the recipe. I still got raves! - 2/9/10
