Introduction

Slightly spicy, but smooth. Slightly spicy, but smooth.

Ingredients

    16 oz. - V8 Juice or other tomato juice
    1/4 head - medium cabbage - red or green
    2 - medium carrots, cut into small chunks
    1 - large rib of celery, cut into small chunks
    1/4 - medium turnip, cut into small chunks
    1/2 fresh garlic clove
    1/4 - medium sweet onion, cut into chunks
    3 - sprigs of fresh parsley
    1/4 cup - fresh cilantro
    1 Tbsp. - Mexican Oregano (if you don't have mexican, then regular will work. Mexican has a mor robust flavor)

Directions

In a smothie maker (you can use a blender), add juice first. Then add ingredients as I have them listed (ie. cabbage first, carrots second and so on) after you have added all the ingredients, then keep hitting the pulse button on the smoothie maker until all the big chunks are small and the juice is covering (if using a blender, please make the chunks much smaller, you wouldn't want to burn up your bender). After you have pulsed all the vegies into the juice, then blend on low until it starts to look smooth. Turn the machine on high for about two minutes. Now it should be ready. This drink is supposed to be thick, If it won't come through the dispensor on your smoothie maker, add a little water and blend. Serve over crushed ice, or warm.
