Ingredients

1. Sliced Portabella mushrooms - 6 oz box
2. Onion, raw - 1(chopped)
3. tomatoes - 1 (chopped)
4. frozen green peas - .25 cup (washed)
5. ginger - 2 tsp (2 slices from the root finely chopped)
6. garlic - 2 cloves (chopped as small/thin slices)
7. olive oil - 11/2 tsp
8. canola oil - 1 tsp
9. chili powder - 1 tsp
10. tumeric - 1 tsp
11. salt - to taste
12. curry powder/garam masala - 1 tbsp. (try MTR Vangi Bath powder)
13. Water - 2tbsp
Directions
1. Wash the mushrooms. If they are pre-sliced do not slice them any more. If they are whole then slice them in to bigger pieces.
2. chop the onions, tomatoes, garlic and ginger.
3. Heat both the oils in a frying pan and add ginger, garlic to the pan. After sauteeing for a few seconds, add onion to the mix.
4. Once onions are cooked (2 mins) add peas to it followed by tomatoes.
5. Mix everything well and let it sit for a min.
6. Add chili powder, curry powder, turmeric and the salt
7. Now add the mushrooms and add just 2 tbsp of water.
8. Mix them well cover with a lid and leave it for 10 mins on less than medium heat.
9. Simmer the stove, mix it all well and remove from the stove.
It can be served with bread toasts, indian breads or can be had as is as an appetizer. If the dish looks watery, remove the lid and leave it on low heat for few mins and it will be ready.
