This is the cheater way to make miso soup. This is the cheater way to make miso soup.

    4 Tbsp red miso paste
    3 g dried bonito
    8.5 g dried dashi kombu
    6 cups water


Dissolve miso in water in pot over medium heat. Add bonito. Snip kombu into small pieces and add to pot. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
