Introduction

Yummy and healthy alternative to a New Orleans classic. Yummy and healthy alternative to a New Orleans classic.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    3 Cups Water
    1 Cup Dried Kidney Beans
    1 Cup Chopped Onion
    1 Cup Chopped Bell Peppers
    3/4 Cups Chopped Celery
    1 tsp Thyme
    1 tsp Paprika
    3/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
    1/2 tsp Black or White Pepper
    7 oz Turkey Italian Sausage Links
    1 Bay Leaf
    5 Cloves Garlic or 4 tsp Minced Garlic in Olive Oil
    1/2 tsp Salt
    3 Cups Long Grain Brown Rice Cooked
    Chopped Green Onions

Directions

Place all ingredients except rice and chopped green onions into slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours. Serve over cooked rice. Garnish with green onions.
