Ingredients

    1 1/2 T sugar
    1.2 c. water
    1 pkg yeast
    mix all three and set aside

    1 1/2 T sugar
    1 1/2 t salt
    2 T shortening, melted
    Mix. After cools, add yeast mixture

    1/2 c. mashed potatoes
    3 c flour
    1.2 c potato water or milk
    1 egg

    Kneed all together and refrigerate. Pull apart and shape into rolls. Dip all sides in butter and put on cookie sheet. Allow to rise for an hour. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until tops are brown
